She's Dreaming

Once again, I happily give the laws of nature the middle finger by giving a lion and a cheetah a cub.  

Although The Lion Guard isn't out yet, I still ship Kion and Fuli big-time. Thanks in part to QueenNalaTheLioness (queennalathelioness.deviantart…), I decided to finally start doing fan art of them as a couple.  Here, they're together on the ledge of Pride Rock, watching as their daughter Kipekee sleeps ever so calmly at sunset. She's only a few months old, but she's already proven herself to be a very energetic cub in her own right. As a result, Kipekee tends to tire herself out often. She only intended to take a quick nap, but here, she fell sound asleep by her father's side. Her parents can only imagine what she's dreaming about.  

Now the second pic I've created since I made the switch to Photoshop, I can now safely say that I'm never using Seashore again. I realize now that the limitations of that program (plus my sucky old computer crashing all the time) were holding back my potential for TLK artwork. I'm just glad that I managed to get a hold of Photoshop after all this time, because it is a godsend compared to what I've worked with before. Out of everything I've ever drawn here, this pic is definitely a personal favorite.  And to think, this whole thing was done from start to finish in just one day today.
